A new pipe inside the old one, and your lawn left alone.
Lining and pipe-bursting methods that renew a damaged sewer line through one or two small access pits, protecting landscaping, driveways and patios.
- Method: Lining or pipe bursting
- Access: One or two small pits
- Typical job: About a day

What it is, and why it matters.
Trenchless repair works through small access points instead of a long open trench. In pipe lining, a resin-soaked liner is pulled into the old pipe and cured to form a smooth new pipe inside it. In pipe bursting, a new pipe is pulled in as the old one is broken apart.
It can be a great fit for Nashville homes with mature landscaping, concrete drives or finished spaces over the line. Not every pipe qualifies, and a camera inspection tells us whether lining, bursting or traditional replacement is the better choice.

Trenchless Sewer Repair: common questions
Is trenchless repair as good as replacement?
A properly installed liner or burst pipe is a lasting repair when the old pipe is a good candidate. Heavily collapsed or badly misaligned pipe usually needs traditional replacement.
Is it more expensive?
It can cost about the same or more than open trench, but it often saves the cost of repairing landscaping and hardscape. We compare both options for your line.
