Flexible pipe, fewer joints, fewer walls opened.
Home supply lines replaced with flexible PEX tubing on a manifold, with fewer joints, quieter flow and less demolition.
- Typical job: One to four days
- Layout: Manifold with home-run lines
- Resists: Corrosion and scale

What it is, and why it matters.
PEX is a flexible plastic pipe that bends around corners, so a repipe needs fewer fittings and fewer openings in walls. Combined with a central manifold, each fixture gets its own line, which helps keep pressure steady when several fixtures run at once.
It resists corrosion and scale, handles a bit of freeze expansion better than rigid pipe and installs quickly. We use PEX for many Nashville repipes and new builds, and we explain where copper may still be the better choice.
Four things done right.
Fewer openings
Flexible pipe snakes through walls and floors.
Steady pressure
Home-run lines keep fixtures from competing.
Quiet and durable
No corrosion, less water hammer.
Manifold shutoffs
Shut off one fixture without shutting off the house.

PEX Repiping: common questions
Is PEX safe for drinking water?
Yes. PEX pipe made for potable water is approved and widely used across the country for homes.
Does PEX last as long as copper?
Properly installed PEX is expected to last for many decades, and it avoids the corrosion that can wear out copper in some water conditions.
