Pressure that finally feels like a shower.
Weak showers and trickling faucets traced to clogged pipes, failing regulators, partly closed valves or leaks, then fixed at the source.
- Test: Gauge at the hose bib and at fixtures
- Causes: Corrosion, regulators, valves, leaks
- Typical visit: One to two hours

What it is, and why it matters.
Low pressure has a cause you can find. It might be mineral buildup in old galvanized or copper pipe, a failing pressure regulator, a partly closed shutoff, a leak between the meter and the house or a clogged faucet aerator. Which fixtures are affected, and when, is the clue.
We test pressure at the hose bib, then fixture by fixture, and work backward to the cause. In Nashville-area homes with older pipe the fix may be a repair or replacement of a corroded section. Newer homes more often need a regulator adjustment, a valve or a filter cleaned.

Low Water Pressure Repair: common questions
What is a normal home water pressure?
Most homes run comfortably between about 45 and 70 psi. Below that showers feel weak, and above about 80 psi fixtures and appliances can wear faster, which is where a regulator helps.
Could my old pipes be the cause?
Yes. Galvanized steel and some older copper lines narrow inside as minerals and rust build up. If testing points that way, we show you the options from sectional repair to repiping.
